Western Beef

The origins of Western Beef date back to a group of family owned and operated neighborhood meat markets throughout New York City in the early 1900’s. The name Western Beef emanated from the quality of our beef. Through the 1900’s and even today the best quality beef comes from the mid-west area of the United States know as the Corn Belt.

In 1976, Western Beef opened its doors to the public, as the first ever warehouse style supermarket in College Point, NY, instantly becoming pioneers in our industry. Throughout the eighties, nineties and present, we expanded to 27 stores in New York, New Jersey and now Florida. Through diligent demographic research and paying close attention to our customers, we have determined each neighborhood’s specific needs, by learning about the local population’s ethnicity and product demands.
